HP Open webOS launch in September
Few operating systems have had a life so short, yet busy as web OS . After the acquisition of Palm by HP many thought had fallen into the right hands to give the life it deserved.
But finally, late last year, HP made the decision to make this open source operating system. The details of this transformation, starting with the name (it will now be Open webOS 1.0) have been released already, and begin with the provision of Enyo, the application framework licensed under Apache 2.0.
The next step came in September, when they did this Open webOS 1.0, with more heart pure Linux for being in the greatest possible number of devices. But we fear that this departure has been delayed too long and be difficult to convince developers to trust again webOS.
